They're are a few new designer/brand collaborations that i'm really liking lately..
1. SUPERGA x HOUSE OF HOLLAND
I'm really into flatforms at the moment and I'm also keen on the Superga brand, I bought a pair of lilac Superga pumps last summer and they are super comfy and a perfect teamed with little denim shorts on a sunny day. This is why this new collab is very appealing to me as it combines the two.
The Italian footwear label has teamed up with London designer to jazz up their collection of heritage canvas pumps. The collection features polka dot, stripe and cow prints in a gelato pastel palette inspired by HOH's SS12 'Pastel Punk' collection.
2. HAVAIANAS x MISSONI
Havaianas and Missoni are teaming up for a second year running and renewing the collab that launched in the Summer of 2011. The 2012 range updates the bright pattered take on the brazilian flip flop, with a capsule range called 'Missoni loves Havaianas 2012'.
3. ADIDAS ORIGINALS x OPENING CEREMONY
In anticipation of the 2012 London Olympics Adidas & Opening Ceremony have presented an FW12 capsule collection. Combining elements of swim and cycling with a 90s street attitude, the collections are an ode to Olympic sports.
Calling on playful prints - A kaleidoscopic mini-floral, a hypnotic splatter-paint motif, and the iconic bandana print of OC -the mostly unisex collection uses a range of dynamic fabrics including dry-swim spandex, neoprene, nylon twills, and reflective finishes. For girls, sleek body-con dresses, halter tops, and peplum dresses leap ahead of the pack, while for the boys, crisp chambray shirting, French terry polos and oversize neoprene parkas round out a fresh and youthful collection.
4. RICHARD NICOLL x TOPSHOP
Richard Nicoll has teamed up with Topshop for a seven piece bridal range. The capsule collection – both Topshop’s and Nicoll’s wedding-wear debut – consists of seven dresses in either white or pink and with both full length and short silhouettes represented.
The dresses are gorj and can definitely be worn for other events non wedding related!
I am very pleased and excited to announce that I have just accepted a job offer for Missguided as an assistant buyer. This is my dream job and I cannot wait to join the team over at MGHQ! Their new trendy head office is based in Manchester and I start 4th July (Independence day! Which I believe is of perfect relevance considering this is my first proper job post university!)
